“Model in Me” celebrates individuality and confidence at every stage of life. Whether you were a rebellious teen or navigating heartbreak, this campaign embraces the beauty of being unapologetically yourself. Through social media, photoshoots, and real stories, we’re redefining what it means to be a model — it’s not about perfection, it’s about owning who you were, and who you are.
Recruitment
These Instagram posts would be sent out in the beginning of the campaign to get Instagram submissions from people, about how their fashion changed overtime, or highlight their fashion in one of the most crucial stage of their lives.
Submissions from the Depop Community
These submissions come directly from the Depop community — pieces they’re selling, but each one carries a story. These clothes once made them feel like a model in a moment of their life, and through these posts, we glimpse the emotional connection behind every item.
Photobooths
These photo booths will be placed across the UK, inviting people to step in, take a photo, and embrace the model within themselves.
Depop Swap Shop
These Depop Swap Shops are physical pop-up versions of the Depop online store, located across the UK. People can browse, try on, and buy clothes — with the help of on-site stylists and artists offering personalized outfit suggestions. Each pop-up will also feature a dedicated story wall (will be shared on Instagram as well), where the emotional stories behind the clothes are shared.
Depop Museum
Depop will launch a museum experience where the stories behind these clothes are brought to life — highlighting the personal moments and memories.
Street Runway
We’ll host street runways across the UK, where anyone can walk proudly in Depop clothes and feel confident in who they are. “Depoparazzi” shots will be captured during these events and featured in our social posts and billboards.
Depop Spotlight
Depop will select a few standout winners from the Instagram submissions based on their story and creativity. These individuals will be invited for a photoshoot, and their images will be featured on our Instagram and billboards as official Depop ambassadors. We’ll also capture “Depoparazzi” shots during our street runway events and feature those candid moments— celebrating real confidence in real time. Each featured image will be paired with a personal statement, whether it’s about what they’re wearing or what being a model means to them — turning every look into a powerful expression of identity.
